Wow! What a year it has been! Whirlwind. Wild change. Endless Transition. Obviously, the highlight is getting married to my wonderful muse and partner in crime, Amanda. Looking back at my images, I can certainly see transition as well. It is funny how you don’t even see it happening, yet, it is plain to see. Hindsight is always 20/20 I suppose.
Now, I still love big, bold and colourful images, but looking back at my work in the past year, most of the images that stick to me have a definitely different flavour to them. From bold and colourful, I now find myself drawn to simpler, more subdued images. I have always sought to simplify my images, but that goal has proven elusive on more than one occasion. I still see room for evolution, but I certainly think I am on the right path to achieve the look I am looking for.
The coming year is also bound to be one of change, and may be even, revolution (on a personal level that is). Amanda and I are brewing some really cool projects and intend on taking things to the next level. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this year’s crop.
This, by the way, is the last post of 2011. It has been an honour and pleasure to interact with all of you. I wish you all Happy Holidays and wish you the best for the new year.
See you soon!

beautiful set younes! I want to put together mine, too. but that involves actually looking at the images I took in spain, haha.
Excellent choices to cap off a big year. Happy holidays.
What a truly droolworthy collection of images! It makes my best set for 2011 feel distinctly ordinary.
Fantastic set from a great year, Younes! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2012.
Fantastic collection Younes. It was a very good year indeed!
Fine series, thanks for showing!
When architecture meets photography beautiful things happens.
If it were me, I’d be quite proud of these images. When seen together, one gets a glimpse of the range of your photography i.e. not just landscapes. I am looking forward to more amazing things from you next year. There…you’ve been warned!
You forgot photos of me.
Wow. I am in awe. I thought I had some good images from this year then I come to this site and AM BLOWN AWAY. Fantastic work. I read about your tour to Morocco. I have been dying to get there ever since moving to Italy 2.5 yrs ago. I will look in to it and see if dates work out. Really nice job in 2011.
absolutely gorgeous collection, Younes!
Gorgeous – ok so I don’t know which one I want first.
Younes, what an awesome year! Wonderful work, great variety! I especially love the Moroccan images!

Happy New Year, Younes! I’ve continued to enjoy your work and look forward to what you have to offer in 2012.
Thank you very much, Joe. It’s been great to count on your support! 2012 is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting years for me photographically. Looking forward to it!
The people ones are my favorites although they are all worth inclusion in a ‘best of’. The blue-wall city is near the top of my list to visit. Happy New Year you you and Amanda
xo
Thanks, Maureen! Let’s get together sometime this month. I think we are due for a coffee
Absolutely superb set Younes!!!! You pushed your craft to another level in 2011. I look forward to seeing what you come up with in 2012. I put together a best of 2011 set myself and posted it to Google+ (https://plus.google.com/u/0/#photos/109795502005319949067/albums/5692096981024642577) but I’m new to it all over there and didn’t know how to add your “#2011Top11″ without resharing the album and annoying everyone in my circles with a post they already saw. I totally agree with you about Google+. I love it so far. It’s set up the way I think. Cheers. Pete
Sorry I missed your best of, Peter. I will go visit right away!.
Whoa! Sweet set, Younes!! This really shows off the knowledge you have for seeking out and photographing great light…that last one in particular is sweet! I also love the sand dunes…seems you and I both had a good year with them!
-Greg
Thanks Greg. I must confess my love story with sand dunes is far from being over. The subject matter is simply too powerful to ignore
Tremendously spectacular series Younes! I loved all of the travel images! You been to some far away places!
Thanks Steve!
Amazing choices to represent the year Younes! Something about the man in the blue coat just screams mystic to me, especially love that one! Hope that 2012 has many great photo adventures ahead for you.
Thank you!
