The rain finally subsided for a little while this week-end. I took the opportunity to get out and scout out a few areas for my upcoming workshop, trying to see how the colours are coming along and where the best spots are (these obviously from year to year).
Well it looks like, once again, we are in for a treat. The colours have yet to peak – though that shouldn’t be too far- but you can already see this is going to be another spectacular colour season. Here is a little preview of what’s coming.

Nice shots. I like the water shot. Im finding the colours in the trees havent really been changing as fast as they normally do. Lots of yellows and green still. Maybe we can shoot together sometime when they peak, let me know.
I think they are still promising, they usually peak in a matter of days (and frankly I prefer it when you can see the full array of colours). I am teaching a workshop this w-e, but may be next week could be feasible, weather allowing.
Beautiful shots! I saw your post on twitter and was inspired by your work to go out and take some early fall shots. Thank you
Renfrew county is about the same, the reds are just starting to show a bit more.
Two of those shots were taken near Renfrew county between Burnstown and Calabogie. I hope you came back home with some nice shots.
