Logo Poll

Here it goes: I am trying to come up with a new logo for my brand and would like to run a few options by you, see which ones appeal to you. So, here I am begging you for your help.

Design 1

logo-1

Design 2

logo-3

Does either work for you or should I get back to the drawing board?

Thanks!

Well, my pick would be design 1. But I have to say neither are really doing much for me. There’s a lot of white space that doesn’t seem to really add to the design, plus the whole thing is rather…um…static?

Sorry, I know really know what to suggest (not my field of expertise). Perhaps lose the Y and just keep it small & elegant with the “YOUNESBOUNHAR PHOTOGRAPHY” bit or go the other way and add more interest to the “logoy” part of it, make it more dynamic.

    Best of luck with it.

design 2 for color and simplicity but I’d condense it, perhaps place text to the right of the red “y”

  3. Marc Creedon says:

Sorry, neither does it for me. The Y and the YOUNESBOUNHAR PHOTOGRAPHY are too different and have no connection, no relation to each other. Not my field of expertise either, but that is just my opinion. Also my logo had my first and last names together for quite a long time. It is a good look but you will have to get used to having your name printed that way by others- for example on a name tag at an event. Not a huge deal, but when the formatting of the type is stripped away by a word processor it becomes difficult to read. Enough of a problem that I recently changed it. That said the YOUNESBOUNHAR PHOTOGRAPHY piece is elegant, but that just may be my personal preference- (my logo is also simple, and dare I say… elegant:) I like the red.

Thanks for your input everyone. Exactly the sort of feedback I was hoping for. I also like the simplicity and elegance of the “Younes Bounhar Photog.” part, but I was hoping to add a bit of “branding”, recognizable mark to identify the logo…I guess I ‘ll just keep searching. back to the drawing board ;)

I like the design of #1 with the color of #2.

But I do admit that, like some of the other folks here, neither one really hits me. Too much white space, I think. Sorry!

    • Younes says:

Thanks so much Maria…and you don’t have to be sorry. I asked for constructive criticism and got exactly that. I love it! That’s the only way to do things right (unless you are blessed with divine talents of course :D ).

  6. I was going to say exactly what Maria said. Looks like you have a little re-tooling to do. Looking forward to the next proofs though!

    I agree.
It actually reminds me of this logo: http://media.herald-dispatch.com/blog/tuned/uploaded_images/Y&R-Logo-725362.jpg
But for me the problem is all the white space.
